Staff Profile
Hello! I am very excited to be teaching 2nd Grade at Westgate again this year! This will be my 15th year of teaching, and my 5th year teaching at Westgate. From 2005-2012, I taught 1st and 3rd grade at Aurora Quest K-8, a magnet school for Gifted and Talented children. Since then, I have worked as a part-time ELL teacher, a stay-at-home parent, substitute teacher, and 3rd-grade teacher at Tarver Elementary, while also homeschooling my children during the 2020-2021 school year. I was delighted to return to teaching full-time. I love my job!
I have been married to my husband for 15 years, and we have 2 children, ages 11 and 14. My daughter attends Westgate as well, but my son attends Horizon High School. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, watching Sci-Fi, getting together with friends, and snuggling with my dogs.
