Students will complete 3 experiments this week, each of which focuses on an organisms structure and function. Students will learn about structures that keep animals warm (fur, feathers, & blubber), structures that allow birds to fly (hollow bones & keal), and structures of deciduous leaves (pigmentation). 

This week students will be investigating the structure of the eye in order to understand how the eye works. After watching some videos, students will be creating a model of the eye to investigate further. 

Students will spend the week comparing human bodies to animal bodies with the focus on writing answers in complete sentences while restating the question in the answer. (Example: What is your favorite color? Answer: My favorite color is purple).
