Clay Plate Tectonics Activity

Completed in class 1/14/19- Students were only graded on the question and answer pages. If your child is missing this assignment, select one of the 6 plate boundaries from the teacher page for your child to research and complete the Q&A (they may also remember which boundary they were assigned for this if they see the list). 

Week of February 18, 2019- Science

Students will be using this week to write up, conduct, and analyze their assigned energy experiment. Students will present their Energy Experiments to their classmates on Monday. Students who complete their Energy Experiments before the deadline will be able to complete an extended project in which they create either a robot or chore machine. 

Week of February 11, 2019

This week, students will be working individually or in groups on an assigned energy experiment. They will be working towards creating a presentation to present to their classmates regarding their experiment. 

Week of February 4, 2019- Science

This week, we will discuss conservation of energy and energy transfer. I will then demonstrate an experiment presentation. Students will then be paired into groups and will complete an assigned experiment. Students will present their experiment to their classmates next week. 

Week of January 28, 2019- Science

This week, students will continue learning about energy. By the end of the week, students should be able to define kinetic and potential energy, name at least 2 forms of energy, and provide examples of each.
