Dear Westgate Families,

We are off to a wonderful start to the 2025–2026 school year! The energy and excitement throughout the first weeks have been inspiring, and we are grateful for the partnership and support you bring to our community.

 

Thank you to everyone who attended our Team Family Engagement Nights in August. These events provided valuable information, but more importantly, they helped strengthen the connections between our families and staff. Your participation is a key part of what makes Westgate such a special place.

 

This month in Advocacy, our theme is Self-Awareness. Students are exploring this theme in developmentally appropriate ways:

K–4th grade students are learning to recognize their emotions, identify personal strengths, and begin practicing self-reflection.

 

5th–8th grade students are discussing how self-awareness impacts decision-making, relationships, and personal growth.

 

High School students are focusing on self-identity, values, and how their self-awareness connects to future goals and well-being.

 

Mark your calendars for our Westgate Fun Run on Thursday, September 26! This is always a highlight of the year, and our fundraising will support our Art programming this year. We’ll be sharing more details soon about the schedule for each team’s run. We can’t wait to see our community come together in support of movement, fun, and school spirit.
