hey mr. Rowan here and I'm just coming to you from my room I memorable super 19th Monday October 19th and the video for our Monday ride all right so if you take a week to look at the week of the clients all right we'll see that this week on Monday what we're going to do is we're going to do travel brochure research we're going to brainstorm the layout and section of the brochure okay so today we're going to go through some examples of some templates I think about what sections you want to add to your trap brochure and once you know what  sections you're going to add then that can guide your research for researching those things about the location that you've chosen okay so that's why we're doing it this way so what to do today is that in your word document that you've created you created a Word document you saved it as travel brochure project and you had should have a paragraph about what location you went you're going to research and why you chose that location so let's get started where are you going to find this information all right well we have a section in the Westgate website all right Westgate School. Org there you go to academics scroll down to classroom pages you will go to 7th and 8th grade and under there you will find mr. Rowan's riding okay for the things you need for the class the videos what we're going to do those will be stored there, mister Rowan's riding we will see the week at a glance 1 / that and 3 different travel brochure template ideas so we've got now let's look at some ideas you might want to put in your travel brochure all right things to include in a travel brochure brief summary of where is some highlights of the important places that way a reader can just kind of quickly see what the brochures about was going to be talking about and they can decide if that for them aren't you might want to include a location I'd like a map where where is it at how do you get to it all right maybe you want to include the geography you know what's the land like the temperature like climate like Forest Mountain Desert are there Rivers those type of things might be important if it's a country you might want to put major cities or well-known places if it's a city you might want to put historic sites and landmarks what kind of recreation and outdoor activities are there are there parks other sports is there water nearby they're hiking climbing what what can you do entertainment what can you do for entertainment Transportation getting around the city you might want to talk about the subway and how to get around what about arts and culture are there museums theaters places to visit do they speak a different language in English maybe some phrases for traveling things like that what's food is it known for definitely some pictures and Graphics to highlight the text that you put in there and any additional information you might think is okay so these are some ideas a blank template you know we think about it full during a trifold front back you know you got the travel brochure a picture. experience the wonders of right what are landmarks and things to see food and culture interesting facts maybe this is a template that would work well for you here's another example what's the location the climate Flora is like water the plants like you know trees plants that fond of what kind of animals are here why would I visit here give me some reason what are some interesting facts yourself up as the travel agents right this could be a brochure historical background landmarks landmarks or just like famous places that you should visit while you're at this location and then what are some things to do right now that's example examples couple more examples Margie's travel I've included in the abeo page this word template right this is something you can add it you can click on how you can change it to make it yours so you can start maybe thinking about the headings that you want to put in your travel brochure and lay it out this way I've also got one that's more in a PowerPoint format so that might be easier to navigate picanha change the text you can click on this change the pictures you can double-click text boxes and use the PowerPoint design help you create your template all right so this is going to guide our research and it's important that we know what we're researching before we just jump in so we can direct it be specific and make sure that we are all right that's our assignment for today researching and laying out the different sections of the travel brochure thanks everybody I look forward to seeing you soon and I hope you have a good
