This video will show you how to log onto Microsoft 365 and use Microsoft Teams

hey mr. Owen here I'm going to be giving you a quick tutorial on Microsoft teams it is going to be the hub for all of your classes and where you'll find your work that you need to do online your assignments or grades and so without showing all right first thing you want to do is you're going to want to login so go up to the URL bar and you want to start with login. Microsoft online.com and that will take you to your account and you want to login with your school email so you will click on your email and then then you'll have a password and you'll enter that password okay for those of you who have used Microsoft before at Westgate familiar with this login procedure and the password how you get to your email Microsoft Excel Word document our points and all the other cool things that happened in my we're going to sign in and when you sign-in it's going to give you the icons for all of the different things that you've done okay so you see word excel PowerPoint and you want to go down where is OneDrive where we store all of our stuff OneNote and want to go down here to teams and we'll pick on team when teams popped up I want to go over a couple things with you so we'll wait for that to have okay so when it pops up you see this dashboard and on the dashboard what you see is all I see are all the teams that you belong to so these are all the teams I'm part of don't worry we've already added students to your different classes and so when you open this up you'll see your teams as well and each team is assigned to a different class c c i a section of math my B section of math section of social studies advocacy so you'll find those there as well okay if I click on one down here I've got a test team for 7/8 this will give us a couple views what I want to go over all right so on this left side here this is the me section all right we want to consider this everything that is belongs to me alright this is my activity and all of my is my chat for my team's my assignments my calendar in my file all right up here is the we so for the 718 these are post files last notebook is climate in the grade that belong to the whole class okay so this is me okay over here and this is the Wii let's start over here with the activity the activity feed is kind of similar to other social media feeds its list of all the notifications from all of your different teams so you can scroll up and down you can see what's going on here's some assignments are mentioned so if I could hear no unit rate nearpod lesson one so it'll bring up this assignment and you can sort it filter different ways by going up here and clicking on these three dots and here are the ways that you can do that right below that is a chat function so the chat function is a way for you to stay in contact with your students in your class teachers the way get help when you need it to ask for clarification catch up on maybe a day that you miss so you sat up I have a chat with Miss Nieto how to chat with Miss Kaplan and so if you want to start a new chat you would go up here and you would search so I will search for Michelle by God's name and then whatever message you want to say to whoever you're chatting with you would go down here in the bottom can you type that in all right you also can add attachments emojis different looks like that down here so this is the chat function uses to stay connected use it to get clarification used to ask questions these are all going to be excellent things for you to do who wins we're only seeing each other online every other day and between that if you have any questions you can always use the chat function okay now down below is the team section and run over there is a really good description online so I'm going to switch over to that for a little bit and we're going to listen to the professor talk about how to use Microsoft 68 so he can see my teacher sent me a card timer can you do this graveyard timer read aloud cereal call CLC tool set call the call hang up to you text in general alright so that was a good explanation and go back here to this test team on our page DCF here are the different post okay if we click on file but we haven't here there is file orientation weekly update so like with most files you can click on it and hear will see that but it opens up I'll see the schedule for the orientation first week all right click on that you can see that so how it go back here class notebook I'm not going to go into crate deal because Michelle made an excellent detailed video on the class notebook so be sure to look for that when you find it okay assignments here for this one we have one assignment the scale nearpod lesson so if I click on that it'll give me the instructions unit rate nearpod there's the rubric Four Points possible I can click on the rubric can see the 20 points is a 416 and 19 points is at 3 so on and so forth reference material here you can click on this link which will take you to your assignment and so that's what the assignment tab looks like and then over on Grey's here here is one assignment that was returned no points your son assignment that's been view that hasn't been graded and here is assignment that has been returned and the grade was three out of four so that about does it for my introduction Microsoft.
