Social Studies Friday

Using your RACES response from yesterday, record yourself reading it to the class on flipgrid. Then, watch at least 3 of your classmates responses and respond with a positive comment! Remember, there is not a right answer. As long as someone can use text evidence to prove their point, they did the assignment correctly.

Social Studies Thursday

Write a RACES response answering the question “What should October 12th be called? Indigenous People’s day or Columbus day?” There is no right answer, you just need to prove your point with text evidence from your article that you read. This response should be at least 5 sentences long.

Social Studies Wednesday

Look at Wednesdays slides for social studies, and then click on the article and take notes on the history of Columbus day vs. Indigenous People day! You only need to use this article. You will be taking two column notes on this topic. Ms. Cooper will show you how to set up your notes on her video today, so make sure to watch it to get that information!
