*** SOCIAL STUDIES DISTANCE LEARNING (MARCH 16-18) ***

Dear Parent(s) and/or Guardian(s),

As we are beginning our Spring Break three days earlier than anticipated, Westgate wants to give students the best chance possible at continuing to stay structured and routine for Monday-Wednesday. Your student(s) were given materials and instructions on Friday from me over the following assignments:

Social Studies:
  • Students who have not completed their Revolutionary War Causes Timeline will need to finish it (digital is okay)
  • Students who have not finished their "Translation" Activity will need to complete it (digital is okay)
  • Students have a "Race to 100" Activities Sheet that has multiple activities/projects on it. At this time, I am asking students to remember "Quality over Quantity" and to focus on completing 1-3 of the activities on it. If we end up needing to continue Distance Learning, we will make it a true Race to 100 Project.
If Internet access is not possible for your family, please keep in mind that if you use the OneNote App on your Computer (open it on the desktop, not on the browser), anything previously uploaded to the app will also open with it.

I will be accessible all Spring Break (including this extended time) so please reach out with any questions and I will respond as soon as I can. Equally important, Westgate is opening its doors on Monday for parents to come in and grab materials and personal items. We will not be conferencing with parents or teaching students.

Stay healthy and safe!
