Find a youtube workout. Complete the workout. How long was it? Was it a good workout? How do you know? Did you feel an increase in your heart rate?

Walk for 30mins
Jog for 15mins

7/8 PE Week 7- 5/18-5/22

This week:
 
-Turn in your physical activity log, if you have not done so already.
 
-Design your own workout: minimum 8 different exercises. could be a tabata. could be using weights, could be cardio exercises. Send me your exercise routine for this week.
 
-Health- Read- Food and Your Mood
Answer: What is serotonin? Where are 90% of your serotonin receptors found? What effect does processed food have on your  microbiome? What are some things you can do to help foster a healthy gut microbiome?

PE 7/8 Week 6- 5/11-5/15

This week:
 
1-Complete Everfi - all 4 modules.
2-Email me your Physical Activity Log by Friday.
3-Read the article linked below and email me a 5 sentence summary. Include: -what was interesting
-what did this article make you think about
-how does reading this change your view of physical exercise?
 
 
Workout:
-Jumping Jacks (1min)
-Standing Steam Engines- While standing. Alternate touching left elbow to right knee, right elbow to left knee. (1min)
-Squats (1min)
-Burpees (1min)
-Superman (30sec 2x, 10 second break)
-Plank (1min)
-Rest (1min)
-Jump Rope (1 min). No rope needed 
-Standing Calf Raises (1min)-stand on the balls of your feet. press and lift your heels off the ground. 
-Arm Circles Forward (1min)
-Arm Circles Backwards (1min)
-Sit ups (1min)
-Push ups (30 sec)
-Jumping Jacks (2min)
-DONE!

7/8 PE WEEK 5 5/4-5/8

This week:
 
-Daily Physical Activity Log: Continue to fill out your daily physical activity log. This is due at the end of next week. (5/15)
 
-Everfi: Complete Everfi modules.
 
no equipment necessary. Full body workout.

Family Step Challenge???

Hello Everyone, 
 
I just wanted to share that my wife and I have been having step challenges each day. We will set a goal for ourselves and then try to reach that goal. Just a fun easy way to stay active and slightly competitive. It is not necessary but I would encourage you to purchase a pedometer to keep track of your steps throughout the day. Definitely not required, but I wanted to throw it out there. 
 
Here is a cheap pedometer from amazon that would do the trick:
