7/8 Week 3- 5/20-5/24

This week we will be continuing our frolf unit. *weather permitting* If weather does not permit, we will be playing some smackball and hand hockey. On Wednesday the students will vote on their workout. The goal will remain 28minutes at 70-100% of their max heart rate. Our mental health modules are all wrapped up and we will be talking about negative effects of e-cigarettes. 

7/8 Week 6-5/13-5/17

Well maybe this week will get to start our frisbee golf unit!  In health we will be wrapping up our mental health basics modules. On Wednesday the students will participate in hand hockey with a goal of 27minutes in the performance heart rate zone. 

7/8 Week 5-5/6-5/10

Well since the weather threw us a nice curve ball this last week. We will pick up with our frolf unit this week. Students will be laying out a 6 hole frolf course and each group will design a course and then everyone will play the course during class. On Wednesday, the students will participate in a soccer workout with a goal of 27mins in the performance heart rate zone. In health they will be finishing up their mental health modules. 

7/8 Week-4/29-5/3

This week we will be starting our Frisbee golf unit. Students will be designing a par 3 and 4 frisbee golf course. They will be sketching it out on paper and then each group will have a day of the week that they get to set up their course and everyone plays it. On Wednesday students will be participating in a design your own workout with a goal of 26minutes in the performance heart rate zone. In health we will be finishing up our Mental Health Awareness modules. 

7/8 Week 3- 4/22-4/26

This week we will continue with our team sports. We will be getting outside to play some flag football and ultimate frisbee. We will also be playing some soccer and going for a 20minute jog. On wednesday the students will be participating in our tabata stations workout(since school was closed last wednesday) and in health we will continue to work through our online mental health awareness modules. 

7/8 Week 2- 4/16-4/20

This week we will continue with our team sports. We will be playing some small sided games of soccer outside. We also hope to be starting our Frisbee golf unit, so long as the weather cooperates. In health we will be talking about our mental health, what it is, why it is important, and how to care for it. On Wednesday the students will be participating in a tabata circuit workout. 

7/8 Week 1- 4/8-4/12

This week we will be playing some ultimate frisbee outside, we will also be doing our 20minute walk/jog on Tuesday. On Wednesday the students will participate in a 20minute P90x workout. In health we will begin our online leadership modules that will be worked on throughout this quarter. 

7/8 Week 5- 3/18-3/20

This week we will be playing some soccer, crazy cageball, and capture the flag. There will not be a workout or health this week. Enjoy your spring break! 

7/8 Week 8-3/11-3/15

This week we will be continuing our team sports. Students will be participating in some competitive games of Pickleball and bump ball working to develop their paddle control during pickleball and hand eye coordination during bump ball. On Wednesday the students will be participating in a competitive game of hockey with a heart rate goal of 28minutes in the performance heart rate zone of 70-100% of their max heart rate. In health we will be talking about the growing trend of 'vaping.'

7/8 Week 8- 3/4-3/8

This week we will continue with our team sports games. We will be playing some small sided tchoukball, soccer, and hockey games. In health we will be talking about the importance of Physical Activity and students will be researching the many diseases and illnesses (physical and mental) that can be prevented with a little regular physical activity. For our workout the students will be participating in a 10minute scooter workout followed by a design your own workout with a goal of 28minutes in the performance heart rate zone.
