7/8 Week 7- 2/25-3/1

This week we will be continuing our team sports. We will be playing some hockey, satryn ball, and smackball. In health we will be talking about the importance keeping your heart healthy, what is heart disease, and how do you avoid heart disease. For our workout, the students will be going through the tabata stations and working to stay in the performance zone for 27minutes. 

7/8 Week 6- 2/19-2/22

This week we will be continuing our team sports. We will be playing some hockey, satryn ball, and smackball. For our workout, the students will be going through the tabata stations and working to stay in the performance zone for 27minutes. 

7/8 Week 5- 2/11-2/14

This week we will be continuing with our team sports. We will be playing soccer, cageball and hockey. On wednesday the students will be participating in our station workout with a goal of 27mins at 70-100% of their max heart rate. 
In health we will begin talking about prescription drug awareness and students will start their online modules. 

7/8 2/4-2/8

This week we will be continuing with our team sports. Monday we will be playing Tchoukball and hockey. On Tuesday the students will participate in our pacer test working to improve on their score from last week and to meet the minimum aerobic capacity standard. On Wednesday the students will be participating in a jump rope workout with a goal of 27minutes in the performance heart rate zone. In health we will begin watching SuperSize Me which we will continue the following week. 

7/8 1/28-2/2

This week we will continue with our team sports tournaments. This week we will be having a soccer, tchoukball, and handball tournament. In health we will be talking about Growth mindset and the students will be reading various articles working to recognize how they can foster a growth mindset in themselves. 
For our workout the students will be putting together a circuit workout that will keep them in the performance heart rate zone for 25minutes. 

7/8 1/22-1/25

This week we will continue our competitive team sports tournaments. We will be playing a tchoukball tournament on Tuesday. Wednesday the students will participate in a Wild Workout with a goal of 23mins at 70-100% in the zone. In health we will continue to talk about growth mindset and explore how this mindset can benefit us in nearly every aspect of our lives. We will talk about what it is, what it looks like, and how you can help build a growth mindset if you do not already have one. On Friday we will be playing soccer and cageball. 

7/8 1/14-1/18

This week we will be playing a tchoukball tournament to help work on moving effectively through space to set up scoring opportunities as well as developing that ever important hand eye coordination. We will also be playing some soccer and cageball. On Wednesday the students will get the heart rate monitors out and go through our TABATA stations. The goal will be 20mins at 70-100% of their maximum heart rate. In health we will be watching a Ted Talk and talking about growth mindset. 

7/8 PE 12/10-12/14

This week we will be continuing our Tchoukball tournaments. We will also be playing some GagaBall and a new and improved version of Cageball. In health we will be finishing up our Health Modules working to foster a healthy school community. On Wednesday the students will be challenged to meet the heart rate goal of 30mins at 70-100% of their max heart rate while working through one of our wild workouts. 7/8 12/3-12/7

Next week we will be having a friendly Tchoukball tournament. We will continue playing the games that the students created earlier this week. We will also be continuing our health modules working to help foster a healthy school community. On Wednesday the students will participate in our second Pacer test of the quarter and then finish up the class with some soccer. 

7/8 11/26-11/30

This week we will be continuing to play Tchoukball and Soccer. On Tuesday, the students will participate in our second Pacer Test of the quarter. On Wednesday the students will participate in our Tabata Stations workout with a heart rate goal of 30mins at 70-100% of their max heart rate. In health, we will continue to work through our bully awareness and prevention modules. Looking forward to another great week! 

7/8 -11/13-11/16

This week we will begin playing some Tchoukball. On wednesday, weather permitting, the students will participate in the Mile Run. On Thursday the students will continue their health modules recognizing how they can positively influence our schools culture and feeling of community. They will also be making anti bullying posters and hanging them around the school. 

Oct. 29-Nov. 2 7/8

Good Job this week 7/8. We played some soccer this week and then got into some hockey. For Halloween the students participated in a timed challenge course. In health we talked about the importance of goal setting and how goals can affect your self esteem. Next week we will be continuing hockey and handball.

Great Job this week 7/8. We were able to get outside to play some flag football, continued playing soccer, and played some whiffleball after Health on Thursday. In health we talked about the many above the neck benefits of exercise. For our workout on Wednesday the students participated in a Wild Workout. We had nearly 100% reach their goal and seemingly have fun while working out together. Keep up the good work 7/8. Next week we will be playing handball and Hand hockey

Great Job this week 7/8.  We spent some time playing soccer and a few different variations of the game. On wednesday the students participated in a Tabata station workout. This workout is a high intensity interval workout where they are challenged to work really hard for 30seconds and then they get a 10second break as they move to the next station. The goal this week was 25mins at 70-100% of their maximum heart rate. We had nearly 100% of students reach their goal! What a great way to start the quarter. In health the students took a personal health assessment and reflected on how the choices they make each and everyday affect their overall health. Next week we will be playing handball and participating in a Wild Workout!

Great job this week 7/8. We continued with our team sports this week and played some football, soccer, and cageball. Next week we will be playing hockey and soccer. I loved the effort I saw during workout Wednesday. For our workout we did our Tabata Stations and had nearly the entire class meet their workout goal. In health the students finished up their module. Have a great weekend and get active!
