Weekly Update - May 28
Students will complete their final unit will use volume of cylinders and cones to solve a theoretical problem that a company in Flint, Michigan has to solve when they realize their water has lead and isn't fit to drink anymore. They now have to to buy water in water cooler-type jugs. This will be due May 31st.
Students will have to determine:
- How much water each employee drinks daily
- How many small conical water jug cups that is
- How many small conical water jug cups it takes to fill a cylindrical water jug
- How many water jugs they need a day, month and year
- How much a water jug costs
- How much extra money the company will need to budget for water
