Week of March 4th

This week students will be going on a field trip to the CU Boulder Planetarium on Tuesday, March 5th.
I am also attaching a permission slip for our class to watch the movie Apollo 13. Apollo 13 was a U.S. spaceflight that suffered an explosion and power failure enroute to the Moon. The mission was launched on April 11, 1970, with three astronauts: Jim Lovell, Jack Swigert, and Fred Haise. The crew had to abort the moon landing and use the lunar module as a lifeboat to return to Earth. They used the moon’s gravity to slingshot back to Earth, becoming the farthest humans have ever been in space. Please look through the form and email me if you have any questions about the movie.
