PE 8th Week 2- 1/19-1/22

Great job last week. I really enjoyed everyone’s flipgrid workouts. You guys found some awesome workouts and I am excited to give them a try. This week we will be talking about the mental health benefits associated with exercise. We will watching a Tedtalk and looking at a few articles highlighting the many mental health benefits associated with physical activity. There will be an assignment in class notebook to complete this week. The goal being to help ourselves recognize how even 5-10mins of exercise, increasing your heart rate, a day can have major benefits on our overall physical and mental wellness.  We will be talking about our advocacy theme and how physical activity and self-compassion can go hand in hand. On Thursday, we will be participating in a pattern workout with the goal being to elevate our heart rates for 12-15mins and to reflect on how our bodies and minds are feeling after the workout.
