PE K1 ChalKen Week 3- 10/23-10/26

Great Job last week. It was so nice having everyone in class and being able to get outside to do some of our activities. This week is going to be a little chilly so I am not sure we will be able to make it outside for our activities. This week we will be doing some listening activities in the classroom. That will challenge you to use your listening skills to identify the object/animal that is making the noise. We will also be doing yoga several times this week. Since we cannot get outside to complete our workouts, we will be learning a different type of workout called Yoga. Yoga will challenge the students to hold their body weight in different positions and help develop a strong foundation. We will also be playing some Simon Says to continue to develop those listening skills. On Friday, we will be having a small ‘talent show’ where students can show us cool stretches and workouts that they know how to do.

Online Students:

This week I would like you to do your stretching routine and a warm up activity everyday. Watch the video that is posted in your Seesaw activities page. This video will guide you through a set of warm up activities and the stretching routine. Do these everyday! In this weeks video I will also guide you through a workout and give you a movement game to play called 'UNLOCK MY IPHONE'. You will need 10 paper plates or pieces of paper labeled 0-9 for this activity. Practice these things everyday! I will also create an activity that you will be able to upload a picture of yourself being active this week. Post your picture and show us how you like to be active!
