Hello,

Welcome back to Writing Class. We will have this class Monday - Thursday for both in-person and online students. It will meet after recess/lunch hour from 12:45 - 1:15. Next week we are going to begin a writing unit on debating; what it is, pros and cons, logic and rhetoric. Students will have short lessons and a chance to write each day.

Speaking of next week, I wanted to pass along that I will not be teaching Tuesday - Friday for a couple of eye surgeries that I need to have. Ms. Ross, who is an employee at Westgate, and who subs for other teachers in the building, will be teaching my classes on Tuesday -Thursday. I have been working with her on the new schedule, technology and making sure she is comfortable with my plans. She will also be shadowing me on Monday to meet the students and see the routine first hand. I did let students know this week, but wanted to pass along the message to everyone.
