Last Week: We spent a day planning before beginning construction on our popsicle stick bridges. We also learned how to make parabolas matching our bridges.

 

This Week: We will finish bridge construction, test the bridges with various weights, and examine the info we find from our tests to determine which variable in the parabolas best determine bridge strength.

Last Week: We learned about the volumes of cones and practiced with word problems. We also began construction on our own cones, aiming to fill a cylinder of assigned measurements.

 

This Week: We will finish construction on our cones, test them, and begin practicing finding the volumes of obscure shapes.
