Algebra 2: As we only met once this week (I had a sub one day), we continued practicing factoring complex equations.

 

This coming week, we will take a quiz over factoring, take time to research mathematicians and their contributions to the world today, and learn how to change a parabolic equation from standard form to vertex form.

 

Geometry: As we only met once this week, we continued practicing with circles. We used this knowledge to model how we might build a circular pen for roosters with very specific requests.

 

This coming week, we will apply our knowledge of circles to a more difficult farm problem using goats and a circular pen connected to a circular grain silo. We will also take time to research mathematicians and their contributions to the world today.
