About Mr. Thai
Hi! I’m Quinton Thai, a science educator with a passion for helping students connect classroom concepts to the real world in meaningful, engaging ways. I hold dual degrees in Biology and Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Colorado State University, and I've taught everything from biology and chemistry to physics and earth science at the general and AP level across a variety of school settings—including traditional high schools, charter schools, and even a correctional facility.
My career has also included specialized roles as a one-on-one tutor for students in mathematics/ACT and SAT, a college admissions coach, and a summer camp leader. Whether I’m working with freshmen on the fundamentals or helping seniors prep for the ACT, I believe in supporting the whole student—academically, emotionally, and socially.
Outside the classroom, I live a very active (and slightly unconventional) life. I’m a semi-professional esports player, a nationally ranked table tennis competitor, a practicing stand-up comic, and a mixed martial artist with training in both Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. I bring that same energy and discipline into my teaching, where I focus on cultivating curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking.
Education should be challenging, relevant, and fun—and I work hard to make sure my students feel seen, heard, and empowered every step of the way, no matter the challenges or content area.
