Work on your trip project- make sure you include all the information on your city from the notes we took over the quarter. 

 

Tuesday: 

Meet me in on Zoom for our Project finish up/sharing Lesson 

 

Wednesday: 

Finish and post your Trip Project onto our SS Team in the chat channel. Also turn in- this grade will go into q2.

Begin researching Movement for your city and add to your note catcher 

 

Wednesday: 

Finish researching Movement for your city and add to your note catcher- Make sure to push turn in for the assignment on our SS team 

 
Thursday: 

Meet me in on Zoom for our Human Environment Interaction Lesson 

Begin/finish researching H.E.I. for your city and add to your note catcher - Make sure to push turn in for the assignment on our SS team 

 

Friday: 

Start making your presentation- you can use sway, PowerPoint, make a brochure on word, etc.

Tuesday: 

-Meet me on Zoom for lesson; Virtual Field Trip! (or watch afterwards if you can’t join us) 

-Start working on Field trip questions. Also start brainstorming trip planning project ideas- think of which CITY you want to visit and why. 

 

Wednesday: 

-Finish and turn in Field trip questions under Assignments. 

 

Thursday: 

-Meet me on Zoom for lesson; Location! The first of the five themes of geography that we will be studying this quarter. 

-Start working on “location” notes for the city you’re planning a trip to, Turn in when done in Assignments. (must be done by Tuesday 9/8 when we have our next lesson).

-In your notebook or Class OneNote, make a list of any questions you have about Quarter 1 Social Studies.

-If you haven't already, play the "What is Social Studies" sorting game through the Vortex link on last week's post, or found on our SS Team. Then go answer the question, "What is Social Studies?" on the Discussion Question channel in our SS Team.

-Meet me on Zoom for lesson; Maps and Globes Part 1.  Come prepared with your questions from yesterday, a notebook, and writing utensil.

-Start working on Assignment 1: Globes, found on OneNote and in the Assignments tab of our class team.

Wednesday:

-Finish and turn in Assignment 1: Globes, found on OneNote and in the Assignments tab of our class team. Submit in the Assignments tab.

-Watch one of the videos from our watch list below or go to the video watch list channel in our class team and click on the links there.

Dewar's Social Studies- Orientation Week

Hey everyone! If you can, please go into Teams and look around, answer the getting to know you questions, and respond appropriately to your classmates. 
 
Play the sorting game to see what strands and topics there are for Social Studies. Then answer the discussion topic: "What is Social Studies?" located in our Team's chat channel.
 
 
We will be going over how to access Microsoft Teams, OneNote, and the Assignments in Teams during this week. Videos will be added to my Advocacy Page showing you how to access these, as well.
