Welcome to Wild's 8th Grade Science! We have a great year planned and I am excited to help guide your student(s) to grow as Scientists, Questioners, and Experimenters.

Every week, I will have an update posted to each of my class pages. These updates will not be long in the least bit, nothing more than a few bullet points that address the concepts/topics that we are covering for the week.

In the case that more needs to be addressed (such as conference information, project synopses, etc), I will post an additional update, as well as an email.

Additionally, your student will be emailing you once a week with these updates as well as giving you a run down on how they are doing in their classes.

THIS IS THE LONGEST UPDATE YOU WILL RECEIVE, PROMISE! (The following is what will be a normal weekly update):

This week in Science, students will:

  • Begin Unit One: Earth's Weather and Climate
  • Learn about the role the Atmosphere plays in Earth's Weather and Climate
  • Discover why the Atmosphere is important to Earth's Weather and Climate
  • Investigate our own Weather in a hands-on activity
Have a Wonderful Westgate Week!
