7/8 and HS Week 10
This week, students will continue working on their select songs and getting ready for their concert on May 29th.
HS Music Week 4
This week, the Monday/Wednesday group will be working on "I Will Survive" and "Under Pressure".
The Tuesday/Thursday group is working on "Low Rider" by War this week.
HS Music Week 3
This week the students begin their songs that they chose to perform.
There is a Monday/Wednesday band and a Tuesday/Thursday band.
Fridays are reserved for small groups.
7/8 and HS Music Week 2
Students are finalizing their song selections and voting on them this week.
They will begin work on these songs ASAP.
7/8 and HS Band Week 1
This week will be spent choosing songs and instruments that will be performed at the end of the year.
7/8 and HS Music week 9
This week, the 7th-12th grade bands will be rehearsing in full "concert mode".
They will practice introducing songs, moving on and off stage professionally, and playing through all of their music.
Don't miss our concert Monday, March 18th at 6 PM in the HS!

When: Monday, March 18th at 6:00 PM
Where: Westgate Community School in the HS pod
Wear: Students should wear clothes w/o holes or words on shirts-no hoodies
Everyone is invited and it's free!
Spring Conferences 2019
Hi Westgate families,
It's spring conference time and you can now sign up for a 20 minute slot with the specials teachers.

HS Music Week 7
This week, students will learn the next part of "Mr. Blue Sky", finishing up the song.
They will also be working more on "Danger Zone", practicing transitions and dynamics.
HS Week 6
This week, students will continue work on "Mr. Blue Sky".
They will also start the song "Danger Zone".
HS Music Week 5
This week, students will continue working on "Mr. Blue Sky".
They will be working on the chord changes and staying together.
They will also begin work on "Danger Zone".
HS Music Week 4
Students will be working on "Danger Zone" this week.
High School Music Week 3
This week, students will be rehearsing as if it were concert night.
The HS concert will be on Monday, March 18th right after the 7/8 concert.
The concert begins at 6:00 PM. It will be in the High School at Westgate.
HS music Week 2
This week students will finish reviewing song suggestions and vote on the songs they want to learn this quarter.
They will then receive the new music and get to work on the first song.
