Staff Profile

My name is Logan Hopson, I'm the music teacher, and this is my 8th year at Westgate. I received my Associates' degree from Amarillo College and finished my BA at CU-Boulder. My wife, Kirsten, and I are from Texas, but have lived in Colorado for 10 years now. I'm so excited for what this year will bring! 7th and 8th grade music concert!

7th and 8th Grade Music Concert
 
When: Tuesday, December 12th at 5:30 PM
            Students are to be at the school by 4:00PM
Where: In the High School pod at Westgate
 
Come see and hear the songs the 7/8th graders are learning this quarter. The concert will last about 30-40 minutes and is part of their grade. Please email me directly if there is a schedule conflict.

7/8 Music 9-18-23

It's that time of the quarter!
 
Concert 
When: Wednesday, September 27th at 5:30PM (students should be here by 4:00)
Where: Westgate School - in the High School pod
What: Concert of songs they've worked hard on
 
Please reach out if this date is not possible for your student so I can know for grading purposes.

7/8 Music Concert

Our last concert of the year is coming up! Here are the details:
 
Where: Westgate school, in the High School pod
When: Tuesday, May 23rd at 5:30 PM
 
This is a required performance for a grade in music. If your student is not able to make it, please email me prior to May 19th for an excused absence.

7th-9th Music Concert

When: Tuesday, March 7th at 5:30 PM (students be here by 4:30 LATEST)
Where: Westgate Community School, in the High School pod
 
Students are allowed to stay after school, but must be here by 4:30 at the latest
 
If your student is unable to be here for the concert, please email me directly as it could effect their grade.
