What are we doing?

This week we will have a quiz on Lessons 1–6 to review what we’ve learned so far. After that, we’ll dive into Lessons 7–9, exploring exciting questions like: Can we predict motion? What is magnetism? and Can magnets pass through materials?

On Friday, students will get hands-on experience by exploring magnets through fun activities.

Week of 8/18

This week in Science, we will be learning about gravity, friction, and air resistance—key forces that affect how things move. Please note, I will not be here on Wednesday for science class.

On Friday, we will review all the material to prepare for a quiz next week covering lessons 1 through 6.

Week of 8/11

What are we doing?
We will be starting our service learning lessons, this will be once a week and will switch off between Science and Social Studies.
  • Balanced and Unbalanced Forces
  • Does mass affect motion?
  • What is gravity
  • What is friction?

FORCES AND MOTION UNIT OVERVIEW

Attached you will find an overview for our Forces and Motion unit which we will be start tomorrow with Lesson 1, what is force. On Thursday we will learn about balanced and unbalanced forces. On Friday, we will be doing an activity with balanced and unbalanced forces
