I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  This week students will be learning about tectonic plates and how they move. They will also be learning about how the core helps create a convection zone that moves plates and shapes our land. Here is a video that talks about many of the concepts we will be covering this week.

This week in science, students will begin taking notes in their science notebooks on the Layers of the Earth. We will be reviewing the crust, the mantle, the outer core, and the inner core. Students will graph the different temperatures of each layer and discuss the connection of temperature to its location in Earth.
