Math 

Last week, students took a couple of pre-tests to help me determine some of their skills for the beginning of the year. 

This week we will begin "Chapter 1: Numbers and Arrays." Students will learn when a number is odd or even and how to use repeated addition to find the numbers of objects in groups and arrays. The addition lessons address adding equal groups of objects. 

A Family Letter from our Big Ideas math curriculum was sent home in your child’s folder. This letter has ideas for supporting your child’s math learning at home and the learning targets and success criteria for this chapter.

Students will be take the NWEA MAPS Math Assessment on Wednesday morning.
