2nd Grade Music 4/10/23

This week, students will be practicing rhythms and clapping.
-Quarter notes and rests
-Eighth notes
-Half notes 
 
They will start each class with different songs to sing and move to. The goal is to both keep a steady beat and be able to move together with the music. 
 
Students will be learning marimba techniques while playing along with three songs:
CDEFG warm up
 
My Haunted Backpack
 
I Survived Summer Break

2nd Grade Music

This rotation in music, students will be learning how to keep a beat, learn how to count and clap rhythms by reading the notes, and will learn how to play on hand drums while reading and playing rhythms.
 
- Learning Station songs
- Danny Go
- Ants Go Marching
- Drums and rhythms
 
Students will begin reading rhythms (quarter notes, eighth notes, half notes, and quarter rests)
