7th Grade Music Week of 10-26

Hi everyone!

This will be our first week of distance learning. You will basically be taking private lessons on your instrument of choice (must have access to the instrument).  If you do not have an instrument, you will be provided a recorder and learn how to read notes and rhythms through Recorder Karate.

Your assignments and video lessons will be available in Teams under the Stream tab and Assignments tab.

Tuesday: We will go over how to find assignments and turn them in. Try to complete your first assignment before the next class.

Thursday:  We will watch a video about Music Therapy and there will be discussion questions.

7th Grade Music week of 10-19

I hope you all had a great first week back at school, it was great to see everyone!

This week:
Mon/Tues: You will be getting started on the instrument you chose last week with the song "Don't Worry, Be Happy".  I will teach guitars and piano the chords, marimbas will be the melody, drums will keep the tempo, and other instruments will be implemented where they fit best.

Wed/Thurs:  We will continue working on "Don't Worry" - intro, verse, chorus - trying to stay together and keep a steady tempo.
