k-1 Music Week of 12-7

Here's what to look forward to this week:
 
Monday: Zoom class at 1:00.  We'll be singing and dancing to your favorite songs and then we'll work on counting and clapping rhythms some more.  We'll review quarter notes and eighth notes.
 
Tuesday: Find some fun activities on SeeSaw!
 
Wednesday: Zoom at 1:00 - we'll review our rhythms from Monday and add half notes to our counting.
 
Thursday: Find a music game on https://pbskids.org/games/music/ See you next week!

K-1 Music Week of 11-30

This week, we'll be working on some activities through SeeSaw and meeting on Zoom to sing songs and dance.
 
Monday:  Zoom class at 1PM - We will be singing and dancing! We will also review instrument families and listen to a few.
 
Tuesday: Check SeeSaw for fun activities.  Make sure to take time to sing your favorite song!
 
Wednesday: Zoom class at 1PM. We will sing and dance to Learning Station songs.  Then we will practice some rhythms. Quarter notes and eighth notes.
 
Thursday: Check out PBS music games at https://pbskids.org/games/music/

Hi everyone!
 
This week:
 
Monday: Learning station songs and then we'll be learning more about instrument families.  This week we'll be learning about wind instruments. Last week was string instruments - can you name 3 string instruments?
 
Tuesday: Check SeeSaw for some fun music activities. Don't forget to sing and dance to a couple of your favorite Learning Station songs. Have you been on https://pbskids.org/games/music/ lately? Check it out!
 
Wednesday: No school! Do something really fun - like play your favorite songs and dance around! 
 
Thursday: Play some of the music games on https://pbskids.org/games/music/ Which one is your favorite?  Mine is Monster Music with sesame street. Oscar's drum set is fun to play.

k-1 Music Week of 11/2

This week, we'll be working on some activities through SeeSaw and meeting on Zoom to sing songs and dance.
 
Monday:  Zoom class at 1PM - links can be found on SeeSaw.
 
Tuesday: Check SeeSaw for fun activities.  Make sure to take time to sing your favorite song!
 
Wednesday: Zoom class at 1PM. We will sing and dance to Learning Station and learn about the different instrument families.
 
Thursday: Can you find something in your house that could be used as a musical instrument?  See if you can find 3 different sounds around the house (examples: shake a bag of cereal, tap on metal doorknobs, bang on a pot with a spoon).

Kinder-1st Music Week of 10-26

This week, we'll continue to dance to your favorite Learning Station songs. We will also practice our rhythms.
 
Monday: Start off with dances.  Next we will clap along with some basic rhythms like quarter notes and eighth notes. 
 
Tuesday: Dancing to start and then we will watch a video about sound and what it is.
 
Wednesday: We will practice rhythms, adding quarter rests and half notes.
 
Thursday: Learning Station songs to start. We will finish off with a video about sound experiments.

K-1 Music Week of 10-19

Hi everyone!
I hope you had a great first week back at school, it was great to see everyone.
 
This week, we will be working on counting rhythms and keeping a steady beat.
 
Monday: Learning station songs, then we will be introduced to quarter notes and eighth notes.
 
Tuesday: Learning station songs first, then we will review quarter notes and eighth notes, practice counting and clapping them, then we will learn about quarter note rests.
 
Wednesday: It's supposed to be warm so we will go outside and sing!  Ants Go Marching is the song we will sing and learn motions to.
 
Thursday:  Learning station songs, then we will practice rhythms. We'll go outside for some singing if the weather is nice.  Hokey Pokey and Ants Go Marching.
