Literacy Week of April 29th

This week in Literacy we will be finishing up Unit 9 and continue to discuss why rules are important and what it would look like if we didn’t have rules. We will be reviewing our vowels (A, E, I, O, U) and both their long and short sounds. We will be finishing up our April sight words by learning the word “where.” This week, we will have another spelling test, this one focusing on the sound of short Uu. Just as last week, students will be tested on 4 CVC (consonant, vowel, consonant) words and 1 CVCC (consonant, vowel, consonant, consonant) word.
