We started building background knowledge of Latin America through locating the countries and physical features. 

 

This week we will focus on the Independence Movements of Latin America, the Age of Enlightenment, and the leaders of independence movements. 

 

We will do a jigsaw activity exploring the independence movements, 

have a mock debate on the Enlightenment ideas, and research leaders of independence movements.
