Dewar Language Arts- Week of April 19

What are we learning this week in Language Arts? 

Students will be able to define Alliteration, Hyperbole, & Onomatopoeia and locate examples.  

Students will be able to write a poem using Alliteration, Hyperbole, & Onomatopoeia as the figurative language within it. 

Students will be able to use context clues to determine the meaning within a text.  

Students will be able to identify the roots & affixes of a word.

Tuesday

-Roots & Affixes in ISNB 

Wednesday 

-Alliteration, Hyperbole, & Onomatopoeia Partner Scavenger Hunt Assignment 

-Figures of Speech in ISNB 

Thursday 

-Alliteration, Hyperbole, & Onomatopoeia Poem Assignment 

-Check in and catch up day for grammar.  

**I will be checking in LA Lab for the Fragments & Run Ons, Context Clues, Roots & Affixes, and Figures of Speech to be complete.
