What are we learning this week in Language Arts? 

Students will read critically and make improvements to their writing. 

Students will apply knowledge of grade level spelling, grammar, and conventions to edit their writing. 

Students will use text evidence to support claims.

Send the current draft of Argumentative Essay to your partner

Tuesday 

Begin to read partner’s essay, work through Peer Editing Checklist, and make relevant suggestions 

Fablehaven Debate #3

Wednesday 

Finish peer editing process and submit checklists 

Return marked draft to your partner 

Fablehaven by Brandon Mull, pages: 260-280 (chapter 15) and pages: 281-297 (chapter 16) 

Thursday 

Apply suggestions from your partner to your Argumentative Essay 

Final proofreading check, then submit your final draft of the Argumentative Essay 

Fablehaven Debate #4 

Friday 

Create and submit a Works Cited Page for your Argumentative Essay
