For the month of October, we will be using Advocacy to learn how empathy and kindness can be used to build a caring community that identifies, stands up to and works to stop bullying. We will build off of the what we learned during our team building day to continue focusing on Empathy, Respect and building community in the 7/8 POD.

Policy Reminders

Food, Drinks other than water and Candy: All food, drinks other than water and candy should only be consumed during snack time or during lunch. As Halloween approaches, we need your help in making sure that students are not bringing an excess of cany to school, and if they do they should only have it during snack time or lunch.

Cell Phone and Ear Bud Policy: Unless students have permission from the teacher, they should not have their cell phones or ear buds out during school.

• First time student gets a warning
• Second time phone is taken and students gets it back at end of day
• Third time phone is taken and parent or guardian needs to get the phone after school
