Hello!

My name is Maggie Young, and I graduated in 2025 from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley with a bachelor's degree in English Education and a minor in Special Education. I'm passionate about helping students discover the power of storytelling, literature, and writing as tools for understanding themselves and the human experience.

I believe the best learning happens when students feel valued, challenged, and encouraged to share their ideas. My classroom is a place where curiosity is celebrated; everyone has the opportunity to think critically, and connect their own interests and experiences to what we learn. Whether we're reading a novel, writing an essay, or exploring new perspectives, my goal is to help students build confidence as readers, writers, and communicators.

I look forward to seeing the unique talents, perspectives, and creativity each student brings to our classroom and finding meaningful ways to connect those strengths to our learning and our community.

I identify as non-binary, and creating a classroom where every student is treated with respect and dignity is deeply important to me. I am committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all students feel they belong and are empowered to take risks.
