Welcome to ELD!

Hello! I am Elena Yamashev (I go by Ms. Yamashev) and I am your child’s ELD teacher or English Language Development teacher. I will be helping students develop their English language skills and support them in accessing the mainstream curriculum. This involves teaching both English language acquisition skills (like listening, speaking, reading, and writing) and academic content (like language arts, math, science, and social studies).

 

I started teaching back in 2003, and I continue to learn every year. I offer your students a safe and welcoming environment where they could grow and tackle challenges.  Additionally, I love art, real estate, concerts, reading, traveling, languages and dogs. I am a soccer enthusiast, and on weekends you’ll find me cheering for my son’s soccer games. Go Colorado Rapids!!!
