Advocacy Week of September 11th

Hi Kinder families!

Here are some of the upcoming events for September:
  • Sept. 15th: International Dot Day
    • International Dot Day, a global celebration of creativity, courage, and collaboration, began when teacher Terry Shay introduced his classroom to Peter H. Reynolds’ book The Dot on September 15, 2009. The Dot is the story of a caring teacher who dares a doubting student to trust in her own abilities by being brave enough to “make her mark”. What begins with a small dot on a piece of paper becomes a breakthrough in confidence and courage, igniting a journey of self-discovery and sharing, which has gone on to inspire countless children and adults around the globe.

  • Sept. 22nd: Fun Run
    • How do you find your fitness? We will have a fun run in the school. Students will each have a t-shirt that they can decorate to show how they find their own fitness.
  • Sept. 26th: Jonny Appleseed Day
    • Feel free to have your students dress up in overalls because we will spend the day with Jonny Appleseed inspired content! (Overalls are completely optional! We're having fun with it!)We ask each family to donate one apple to the classroom by Friday, September 22nd so we can make applesauce.
