Themes, Donations, & Volunteers for Kindness Week
As part of our schoolwide kindness initiative, 7th and 8th grade students are hosting a food drive benefiting A Precious Child. Our goal is to collect 2,000 non‑perishable items, and we would love your support. Each day has a suggested donation theme to help us reach our goal:

Monday, Feb 9 – Planting Our Acorns (Words of Affirmation) Protein Monday – canned meats, beans, nut butters, etc.

Tuesday, Feb 10 – Watering Our Seeds (Acts of Service) Pasta Tuesday – pasta, sauce, mac & cheese.

Wednesday, Feb 11 – Sprouting Kindness (Gift Giving) Canned Veggies Wednesday

Thursday, Feb 12 – Growing Together (Quality Time) Toiletries Thursday – shampoo, soap, toothpaste, deodorant.

Friday, Feb 13 – Sharing Our Kindness Forest Students will deliver handmade cards to nearby organizations. Canned Fruit‑Filled Friday
Our event committee will also be spreading kindness to our amazing staff throughout the week. We would love help from families to make these activities special.
Volunteer & Donation Opportunities

Friday, Feb 6: After‑school setup (bathrooms, carline takeover training, decorations)

Monday, Feb 9: Bathroom Refresh – donations of soaps, lotions, décor, mints, sprays, and other items to brighten staff bathrooms

Tuesday, Feb 10: Hot Chocolate Cart & Carline Takeover –

Hot Chocolate cart will need donations of hot chocolate, marshmallows, peppermints, and more.

Afternoon Carline Takeover – parent volunteers help run a safe and smooth carline. You'll take the training on the previous Friday and be willing to takeover an AM or PM Carline on Tuesday!

Wednesday, Feb 11:

Morning Carline Flower Sales – volunteers needed

Flowers will be $1 during AM carline only (cash or check accepted - no credit cards)

Thursday, Feb 12: Parents in Classrooms – volunteers needed in all K–8 classrooms for 15-30 minutes to read or lead an activity. (background checks are requred)

Friday, Feb 13 (Half Day): Teacher lunch (Mediterranean meal provided by Jenny)

As always, cash donations are welcome, and you can donate an amount to Westgate Events either by cash, check, or online.

Drop off cash or a check in the mailbox as you walk in the front with a note that it's for Kindness Week activities.
