8th Grade Civil War Fund Raising Event

On Wednesday, April 25th from 6 – 8:30 pm Mr. Rowan’s 8th Grade Social Studies class will be hosting a Civil War Fundraising event in the high school community space. This will include a Civil War-Era Buffet, Guest Speaker, Silent Auction and other activities that relate to the Civil War. This is a student-created and student-executed event that teaches authentic, real-life skills of research, collaboration, event planning and fundraising. The proceeds will go towards the Civil War Reenactment that the students will participate in the following day. This event is a donation event and all are welcome to come learn more about the Civil War and see what these wonderful students create.
