Greetings Math Families!
I want to remind everyone that we do not have school on Monday or Tuesday. On Wednesday, we will continue working on levels of solving equations with the goal of leveling up again on Friday.
Stay safe and have a good and safe week!
Mr. Rowan
Greetings!
This week in math, we will discover how to solve equations. We will compare the words inverse and undone, discuss why an equation needs to be balanced and learning the steps to solving equations of various steps.

Hello!
Here is the weekly update for Math. The schedule is changing and we are combing students logging in from home with student in the classroom. This will be a new way of teaching and learning, so I'm planning on going slower and giving myself and my students some grace this week as we get our feet under us. We will be finishing up our section on Expressions this week and will transition into Equations and Inequalities.
Speaking of next week, I wanted to pass along that I will not be teaching Tuesday - Friday for a couple of eye surgeries that I need to have. Ms. Ross, who is an employee at Westgate, and who subs for other teachers in the building, will be teaching my classes on Tuesday -Thursday. I have been working with her on the new schedule, technology and making sure she is comfortable with my plans. She will also be shadowing me on Monday to meet the students and see the routine first hand. I did let students know this week, but wanted to pass along the message to everyone.
Sincerely,
Mr. Rowan
Hello Mathematicians!

Hello there!
We had a good week with our Food Truck project. All assignments need to be completed by Monday. This week in math we will be reviewing and taking a Rational Numbers Unit Quiz. We will also be taking a Pre-Assessment for Expressions and Equations which is the first unit of study upon our return. Throw in some reflections and celebrations and there you go, Semester 1 is in the books.
Wishing you all a Safe and Happy Holiday Season!
