What are we learning this week in Science? 

Students will be able to observe and describe the following physical properties: crystal shape and electrical conductivity. 

Students will be able to define and discuss chemical properties of matter. 

Students will be able to differentiate between physical and chemical properties of matter. 

What are we doing this week?

*Hybrid students need to bring battery, casing, lightbulb, and alligator clips from their science kits!

What are we learning this week in Science? 

Students will be able to explain the meanings of matter and physical properties.   

They will be able to identify and define the following properties, which can be observed using the 5 senses: color, texture, odor, luster, clarity, hardness, malleability, and ductility. 

Students will be able to describe the movement of atoms in the different states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas. 

 

What are we doing this week?

  • What are physical properties? 
  • List and describe visible properties: color, luster, clarity
