Week 09/03 - 09/06

Last Week: We applied our knowledge of probability to Yahtzee and Farkle, examining how the probability changed now that we were using 5 dice instead of 2.

This Week: We will examine probability and strategy in a game similar to Yahtzee, called King of Tokyo.

Due by the end of the week: Probability Practice sheet

Week 08/25 - 08/28

Last Week: Students began examining probability when rolling two 6-sided dice. This included the chance of rolling a number at least once and the chance of rolling certain sums (the two dice added together). We applied this math and additional logic to the game of Parcheesi.

This Week: Students will begin studying more complex probability scenarios as we up the number of dice from 2 to 5 and begin playing Yahtzee.

Due from last week: None

Week 08/19 - 08/23

Last Week: This class did not meet as both of my senior students were taking courses with the rest of the senior class.

This Week: We will begin learning about probability through the use of dice.

Due by the end of the week: None
