The students are continuing to make their paper mache animal heads.

Hi there! My 7/8 art class is going to be working on paper mache animal heads. If anyone has spare newspaper, masking tape, wire hangers or floral wire they would like to bring in, I would appreciate it. 😊

The students are going to be sketching a mannequin three times in a series.

Since there is a Monet Exhibit being held at the Denver Art Museum, the students will be learning about Monet’s style of painting and recreating one his paintings in his impressionist style.

The students are creating their own holiday or winter coloring page to create a coloring book for the class.

The students will be learning about the artist Wayne Theibaud’s paintings and his pop art style. They will be creating a painting of food with the style of Theibaud.

The students are finishing up their mason jar drawing. They are then learning about Wayne Thiebaud and his food still life paintings. They are going to plan out a painting of a food item in Thiebaud’s style.

The students are finishing up their art portrait project using three styles of art (Abstract, Realism and Non-Objective).

After learning about Abstract, Realism and Non-Objective Art, the students are finishing up their animal portrait using those three styles. On Halloween, we will be painting with neon paint and I will be lighting up the art room with black lights.

The students are learning about realism and what goes into drawing or painting realism style art.

The students are learning about abstract art. As a class, we will be critiquing Joan Miro’s artwork. Then, the students will be creating a Joan Miro style abstract drawing.

The students will be finishing up their 3-D tetrahedron structure using recycled newspaper.
