Week of 3/9/20

The students are working on their submissions for the Outside the Box project for the City of Thornton.

Week of 3/2/20

After learning about texture, the students are going to be creating watercolor paintings of animal skin or fur with a silhouette of the animal to identify that texture.

Supplies

Hi there! My 7/8 art class is going to be working on paper mache animal heads. If anyone has spare newspaper, masking tape, wire hangers or floral wire they would like to bring in, I would appreciate it. 😊

Week of 2/10/20

The students are going to be looking at symmetry in nature and then drawing symmetrical animal faces.

Week of 2/3/20

The students are going to be finishing their Animal Skin project after learning about texture and how to recreate it on paper.

Week of 12/9/19

The students are going to be finishing up their snack design using their marketing skills we learned.

Week of 12/2/19

The students are going to be looking at Van Gogh’s starry night and recreating it using oil pastels.

Week of 11/18/19

After learning about value in art, the students will be mixing their paint to create the colors for their value landscape. They will then paint on their already drawn landscape.

Week of 11/12/19

The students are learning about value in relation to color. They are going to the create a painting with value on a landscape.

Week of 11/4/19

The students are going to be finishing up their snack design using their marketing techniques.

Week of 10/28/19

The students are going to be learning about marketing and what goes into making a product that is visually appealing. They will then be designing their own Snack.

Week of 10/21/19

The students are finishing up their value painting. They will then be learning about Van Gogh and recreating Starry Night.

Week of 10/14/19

The students are learning about value in relation to color. They are going to the create a painting with value on a landscape.

Week of 9/23/19

The students will be learning about Monet’s painting style and recreating his bridge paintings.
