Dewar's Advocacy- 10/28- 11/01

Hey everyone- I hope you had a weekend! 

 
Reminders:
  • Pokemon cards, Bey Blades, slime, putty, etc.: Need to stay at home now. They are causing problems with students not paying attention in class, not sharing appropriately, and there has been some trading. We are not responsible for toys traded at recess. It takes away from our learning time. 
  • Halloween Carnival: This week, we will be continuing our Halloween Carnival planning. This is a service that students put on for the younger grades, and it is usually something that our whole school looks forward to!  Students work in small group and are asked to provide whatever supplies they need to put their activity together.  The school provides prizes to give out to participants.  
  • Halloween Party:  The parties will be Thursday, October 31st from 2:15-3:15.  Students should not wear their costumes to school.  They should bring their costumes to school and will be able to change right after lunch.

Dewar's Advocacy- 10/14- 10/18

Hello all!
 
This week, we will be starting our Halloween Carnival planning.  This is a service that students put on for the younger grades, and it is usually something that our whole school looks forward to!
 
This week, we will also be starting our service learning projects.  Students will be going to their rotations on Friday and discussing the layout of what their service learning will look like.  We are very excited to see how this pans out!

  • All late/missing assignments in my classes need to be in by Wednesday 4pm.
  • Planners should be coming home nightly to be signed by you-let me know if it gets lost!

Hey everyone- Welcome back to school! I'm excited to get into the swing of things as we start week two of school! 
 
Reminders:
  • We are MAPS testing Tuesday afternoon
  • Planners should be coming home nightly to be signed by you
  • Social Studies and Science classes have begun:
    • 5th SS- Mr. Manning, 5th Science- Mrs. Sanders
    • 6th SS- Mrs. Dewar, 6th Science- Mrs. Cundari

  • Picture order forms came home in Friday Folders- If you would like to order pictures for your child, please send this envelope back with your child by Friday, August 16th.  You can either pay online or send a check.
