Kenner's Literacy 9/23

This week is a short week, so I will be reinforcing skill building with them such as sentence structure, reviewing nouns and verbs and rhyming. 

Memory Words:  I, my she, her, he, his

Spelling:  Reviewing  /ch/ digraphs also adding /sh/ 

Grammar:  Nouns, pronouns, verbs and adjectives

Fluency:  "Putt Putt golf"

Writing: Personal Narratives and sentence structure

 

Spelling lists have gone home. If you are unsure of what your child's personal list is please email me. The next spelling test will be after break on the 18th of October.

 

Kenner ELA

I have started doing spelling with our first graders! When I give the pretest if any student passes with 100% I move them to an advanced level word list.  If they missed a part of the test- for example "ck" words- then those kids will get a higher level word list. I have sent home your student's list of words with their name next to the level they are working on. The next test will be Friday, October 18th. Please email me with any questions!
