-Be learning and practicing new routines surrounding independent reading
-Completing a Web Quest on the Civil Rights Movement
-Concept Development around Equality
-Beginning to read March book 1

Weekly Updates Dec.17th

This week in English students will...
-finish putting together all aspects of the suitcase projects
-we will have our suitcase museum Tuesday in which classes will come view 
- Wednesday we will do a reflection 

Weekly Update December 10

This week in English students will... 
 
- Have our last silent book discussion over our novels
- build our suitcases and fill them with our artifacts
- collaborate on the in class podcast 

Weekly Update December 2nd

This week in English students will...
-Receive feedback on their essays
-Participate in a final book discussion
-Work on their mini-bios for their suitcase project (directions were handed out)
-Students who are ahead will begin building their suitcases

Weekly Update November 26

This week in Language Arts students will...
-finish the section book marks that they recieved before break
-Turn in their star poems (worksheets were handed out)
-WWII presentations will continue each day 
-Finish reading books 
-Begin building suitcases 

Weekly update 11/13-11/16

This week in English...
- No school Monday
- We will be hosting  our Slam Poetry guest speaker Tuesday in the 7/8 pod
-Wednesday we will have our Part 3 book discussions 
-PowerPoint on WWII topics are due Tuesday and presentations will begin Wednesday (Rubric is on the OneNote)
