Hello! This week we will be working on decoding CVCe words what end in -ing and -ed. For writing we will be discussing parts of a friendly letter, learning how to address an envelope, and we will be learning the structure of an email.

Hello! This week we will be decoding CVCe with -s endings and what it means when we add -s to nouns and verbs. We will also be reading poems and discussing the important parts of a poem. In writing, we will be creating a sign as a class, discussing ideas for a safety tip, and writing a short message to a classmate.

This week we will continue to work on our informative writing. We will be talking about how to stay on topic and how to write an ending. We will also be learning about and working with CVCe words throughout the week.

This week we will be taking our unit 5 test. Then we will start talking about how to associate long vowel sounds with letters and we will distinguish short and long vowel patterns. In writing, we will be working on informative writing.

Hello! This week we will finish our descriptive writing about the monsters we created. We will spend some time matching monsters to their descriptions. We will finish up working with -ing and -ed words for spelling. Lastly, we will be discussing how to identify the main idea and the important details in the stories we read.  

Hello! This week we will be working on descriptive writing. We will be practicing how to describe things by looking at how they look, what color it has, the shape, the size, and the different parts. We will continue to work on adding -ing and -ed to the ending of different words.

Hello! This week we will be finishing writing our books. Then we will take our unit 4 test and move on to unit 5. In writing, we will be working on descriptive writing. We will learn how to describe how an object feels and looks. For spelling we will be working on -ing and -ed endings. Hello! This week we will be working on writing narratives and telling a sequence of events. With our narratives, we will be assembling them into book form. We will also continue working on -er and -ed words and we will be learning how to apply endings to words. 

Hello! This week we will be taking our unit 3 progress test. We will also have time to finish our opinion writings and any other work that needs to be completed. Then we will be starting on narrative writings, and recognizing -er and -ed words, 

Hello! This week we will be working on opinion writing, recognizing -ng words, and using synonyms in our writing.

Hello! This week we will be working on comprehension skills for reading and we will be talking about nouns and verbs. We will not have a spelling test since it is a shortened week. I am also going to work on getting students put into Spelling-city. This is another way to practice spelling at home!

Hello! This week we will be working with th and wh words, contractions and reviewing different types of sentences and end marks. In writing, we will continue to work on our friendly letters.
