Week of 5/20/19

The students will be learning about George Rodrigue and his blue dog paintings. They will then create their own mixed media blue dog.

Week of 5/13/19

After learning about Post-Impressionism art and Pointillism, the students will be finishing up their Seurat inspired painting.

They will then be learning about the basics of creating a self portrait and creating one with sunglasses.

Week of 5/6/19

I will be introducing Pop Art to the students, specifically Roy Lichtenstein, as well as Onomatopoeia. The students will be creating a Pop Art drawing using an example of onomatopoeia.

Week of 4/29/19

The students are going to be drawing an outline of their hand and filling it in with hot and cold colors.

Week of 4/22/19

The students will be learning about George Rodrigue and his blue dog paintings. They will then create their own mixed media blue dog.

Week of 4/15/19

After learning about Post-Impressionism art and Pointillism, the students will be finishing up their Seurat inspired painting.

They will then be learning about the basics of creating a self portrait and creating one with sunglasses.

The students will be finishing their Blue Dog mixed media drawing inspired by George Rodrigue.

Week of 3/4/19

The students will be learning about George Rodrigue and his blue dog paintings. They will then create their own mixed media blue dog.

They will also be participating in Google for Doodle, permission slips will be sent home for parents/guardians to sign.

Week of 2/25/19

The students will be finishing up their painting inspired by Georges Seurat using pointillism.

Week of 2/19/19

The students will be finishing up their blue dog painting. They will then be learning about abstract artist Jean Arp and creating artwork inspired by his work.
