Hello 7th Grade Families!

 

This week in 7th grade math, we're going to be finishing up our work with adding and subtracting positive and negative rational numbers. There will be no homework assigned this week.

 

Students were notified, but please remind them that their "Unit 2 - Numbers and Operations Part 1" Test is on Wednesday, 10/7 - it will cover the entirety of Unit 2. Students will be given the entire class period to complete their test. A study guide will be sent home in lieu of the homework packet: this is optional, but highly encouraged. If the study guide is completed, students can earn up to 5 points of extra credit on their test!

 

Hello 7th Grade Families!

 

This week in 7th grade math, we're focusing on adding positive and negative fractions and decimals! Homework will be assigned in class on Monday, and will be due at the beginning of class on Friday, 9/25.

 

Students were notified, but please remind them that their second mid-unit quiz is going to be on Friday, 9/25 - it will cover lessons 7 & 8 only. Students will be given the first 5 minutes of class to review notes, then the remainder of class to take their quiz. 

 

It took me a little longer to grade tests, so Test #1 corrections will be due by Monday, 9/28 for half-credit back. I highly encourage students to utilize this opportunity if they scored less than an 80%!!

 

Just a reminder that our field trip is coming up on Wednesday, so there will be no 7th grade classes on that day :) Please bring a sack lunch!

Hello 7th Grade Families!

 

This week in 7th grade math, we're going to be wrapping up Unit 1: Proportional Relationships with our first test of the year! Afterwards, we'll be jumping into our work with negative numbers, beginning with addition - this will be the start of Unit 2: Numbers & Operations (Part 1). Homework will be assigned in class on Tuesday, and will be due at the beginning of class on Friday, 9/18.

 

Test #1 corrections will be due by Friday, 9/25 for half-credit back.

This week in 7th grade math, we're going to be jumping into graphing proportional relationships! Homework will be assigned in class on Monday, and will be due at the beginning of class on Friday, 8/28.

 

Students were notified, but please remind them that their first mid-unit quiz is going to be on Tuesday, 8/25 - it will cover lessons 1, 2 and 3 only. Students will be given the first 15 minutes of class to review notes, then the remainder of class to take their quiz.

Hello 7th Grade Families!

 

I apologize for my lack of posting last week - still trying to get all of this Edlio stuff figured out :) This week in 7th grade math, we're going to be continuing our work on calculating unit rates and recognizing proportional relationships. Homework will be assigned in class on Monday, and will be due at the beginning of class next Monday, 8/24, due to an alternate schedule on Friday.

 

Students were notified, but please remind them that their first mid-unit quiz is going to be next Tuesday, 8/25 - it will cover lessons 1, 2 and 3 only. Students will be given the first 15 minutes of class to review notes, then the remainder of class to take their quiz.
